HARA Health and Sports Association participated as a partner in the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project "Be the Light with Empathy" (Project No. 2023-3-ES02-KA153-YOU-000179240), hosted in Alcobendas, Spain, from 28 July to 3 August 2024. The project brought together youth workers from Czechia, Hungary, Latvia, North Macedonia, Poland, Spain, Türkiye, Ukraine to strengthen inclusive youth work through empathy, accessibility, intercultural dialogue, and non-formal education. By combining dissemination activities, experiential learning, and community engagement, participants developed practical tools and professional competences that support more inclusive and accessible communities.

One of the project's highlights was an inclusion and awareness festival where participants presented the outcomes of their work to the local community and partner organizations. The Guide to Correct Communication with Visually Impaired Individuals was distributed to visitors, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue about accessibility and respectful communication.

Participants also transformed the guide into an engaging radio theatre performance, demonstrating how creative educational methods can make information more accessible while promoting empathy, inclusion, and active citizenship. These activities strengthened participants' public speaking, teamwork, facilitation, and communication skills while increasing the visibility of Erasmus+ values within the local community.

The mobility also encouraged participants to reflect on their personal and professional development through the Youthpass process. By assessing the key competences they had gained throughout the project and completing their Youthpass certificates, participants became more aware of their individual learning journeys. Collaborative competence-mapping activities helped them connect specific project experiences with concrete learning outcomes, reinforcing skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, intercultural competence, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Project evaluation became an interactive learning process through group discussions, collaborative analysis, and competence-mapping exercises. Rather than simply reviewing completed activities, participants explored how different non-formal education methods contributed to their development while exchanging ideas on the most valuable learning experiences. This reflective approach strengthened self-awareness, encouraged peer learning, and provided practical strategies for designing more effective and inclusive youth work initiatives in the future.

The learning experience was further enriched through a cultural exploration of Alcobendas, where participants discovered the city's historical heritage, local traditions, and community life. Visiting cultural landmarks and interacting with the local environment deepened participants' understanding of Spanish culture while reinforcing the importance of intercultural dialogue within Erasmus+ mobility projects. Returning home with enhanced empathy, intercultural awareness, and practical tools for inclusive communication, the participants are better equipped to promote accessibility, equal participation, and social inclusion through their future youth work initiatives.
