Starting on April 18th in Riga, Latvia and continuing until April 25th, our youth exchange project continues with an inspiring journey focusing on developing young people's skills to cope with stress. Together with young participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia and Turkey, this project aims to provide important gains not only in stress management but also in cultural understanding, personal development and resilience.
In today's fast-paced and pressure-filled world, the challenges faced by young people are increasing day by day. Within the scope of this project, we provide participants with practical techniques for coping with stress, such as mindfulness, relaxation exercises and time management. This process, supported by trainings, workshops and group work, helps young people recognize and effectively deal with the sources of stress they face in their daily lives.
One of the strongest aspects of our project is creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can express themselves and share their feelings. This project, which brings together young people from disadvantaged groups, aims to increase psychological well-being by strengthening the spirit of solidarity. Participants share their own sources of stress and coping methods, learn from each other and build a strong social support network.
How stress is perceived and managed across cultures is one of the focal points of our project. Through intercultural dialogues, young people from different countries have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others. This interaction develops a sense of empathy, but also leads to more diverse and creative ways of coping with stress.
At the end of the project, each participant is expected to create their own stress management plan. These plans will enable them to be better prepared not only for their current stressors, but also for the challenges they will face in the future. By discovering their own strengths, young people become more resilient individuals on both an individual and societal level.
In this special week, it is really inspiring to be together with young people from different countries in the historical atmosphere of Riga, to meet with common emotions and to find solutions together. Young people are better equipped and hopeful not only against stress but also against life.
Hope to meet again with new stories after the project! 🌍💬✨
