Through "Be the Light with Empathy" project uniting partners from Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Ukraine, Czechia, Macedonia, Spain, and Poland, we worked together to address these pressing challenges and promote empathy, understanding, and accessibility for visually impaired youth.

Key Focus Areas

Participants engaged in activities that dismantled stereotypes, encouraging them to see beyond disabilities and recognize the unique abilities of visually impaired individuals.

Through hands-on workshops and role-playing activities, youth workers gained firsthand experience of the challenges visually impaired people face, cultivating empathy and awareness.

The project emphasized the importance of creating environments where everyone feels valued and supported, encouraging participants to be advocates for inclusivity in their communities.

Impact

This project was a journey of growth for all involved:

It provided lifelong skills to communicate effectively and empathetically with visually impaired individuals.

It planted seeds of change, encouraging greater awareness and action for accessibility and inclusion.

It moved us closer to a future where barriers are replaced with bridges, and diversity is celebrated as a strength.

We thank everyone!
